The format has indeed changed greatly, but it is very much "doable". I plan to release a converter/viewer once I put all the pieces together.

I'll post more details and source code once I have something more than a rough AMG GT bumper test: https://flic.kr/p/GX1DLr
Nice job, will the program be open source like forza studio?

It's coming along, slowly but surely.
I have most of the file format mapped out for some time now, I just need to put it all together.
Unfortunately time is not on my side, but I hope to do some work this weekend.

@gpfan I have most of my C# converters published here: https://github.com/RaduMC?tab=repositories
If all goes well I hope to update the Apex project tomorrow.

...just a question, does anyone know how to get to the 3d models of the tracks? I am interested in TopGear and Sebring...

Also is there any progress on Forza 6 from xBOne?

Thanks and cheers...

Still with Forza Studio, same as with the cars.
The process just needs more time because of the many textures.

...I have problems starting it, btw Win10 64bit. I don't know is it because of Windows version, or is it the old version of FS.

Cheers...

Just in case someone is wondering if it's actually really possible to convert Forza tracks, yes it is.
This is Tsukuba from Forza Motorsport 3 ported into World Racing 2 by a friend of mine:
