Anybody knows which textures are needed to texture the whole Engine in Autovista S Lod Models?
I only have got Engine***.xds but are there more?

The details on the texture for the undercarriage are barely visible on the texture extracted from Forza 4, for example... Any thoughts on this?

Cheers!
Just lighten those textures that appear too dark.

This one makes me keep pull my hair out of my head.
It seems the engines of Autovista models are just....plain plastic, metals and reflections.
I really don't know why there are engine textures if they are unused.

@yoda : All lod can be extracted.

@Ernegien : Seems that scale of rims are different for lod0 and lod1

I still have problem with digitalGauge-textures. There are no UVs as it seams. All other textures are working fine. But Speedo-textures and so on do not work. Tried in multiple cars. Also tried with autovista models. Anyone else has this problem?

Edit: and one other problem. What about the rims? If you take the one exported with the modelMesh, its too small. If you take the extra Rim from "wheels", its too big. Can someone tell me what is the correct factor to scale it down? I dont want to the rims to look good and fit, i want them to be accurate. Also rotors and calipers are too small. Can anyone help with this issue? Thank you

I'm here begging for help. I've followed this thread for a long time but was never able to get Forza Studio to work for FM3 and finally gave up. Now that the newest version is out for FM4 I'm still in the same situation and I know it's ignorance on my part.

I have 3.5 .NET framework installed, I also have 4.NET framework installed, no idea if that creates a conflict. I have XNA 3.1 installed. I'm running Vista 32 with an AMD 2.6 dual core and an 8800 GT updated to the most current driver. I've tried with UAC on and off with the same end result. It is possible that I may have disabled some windows services in the past but I went through and turned back on most of what was stopped.

I've taken the most recent link for ForzaStudio and downloaded the zip, unpacked it and placed it in a folder on my C drive. There were 4 files. I double click the application icon and get the message that ForzaStudio has stopped working.

The error that's showing when I look at the windows report is:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: forza studio.exe
Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0
Problem Signature 03: 4f788771
Problem Signature 04: Forza Studio
Problem Signature 05: 1.0.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 4f788771
Problem Signature 07: 5a
Problem Signature 08: 189
Problem Signature 09: System.NullReferenceException

Can anyone help me figure out what I'm not doing correctly or what I need to do? Please assume I'm an idiot. Thanks.

Forza studio does not support the importing of any model in-game, if that's what you're talking about.

It should make no difference to the game what the actual size of the wheels are, as it just calculates the bounding box dimensions of the current model and scales appropriately for the desired wheel size. The same is most likely true for calipers and rotors, which will need to vary based on the wheel size. I'm assuming all of this information would be stored in their SQLite database file per vehicle.

I will try to do some troubleshooting later tonight. I'll get it working for you...

Was there an error.txt file created in the directory you ran the application from? If you could paste that here it would be much appreciated...
sitzuhg wrote:But what about the gauge-textures?
Not sure. Are you matching up the correct ones? I believe the LOD0 models have a separate interior texture it uses instead of the standard nodamage one.

Model lod0 = nodamage_lod0.xds
Cockpit Lod0 = interior_lod0.xds , gauges uses interior_lod0.xds
Lights lod0 = lights_lod0.xds
Lod 1/2/3/4/5 = nodamage.xds - interior.xds - lights.xds
Wheel Lod0 = wheel_lod0.xds
Wheel Lod1/2/3/4/5 wheel.xds
Tire only on lod1/2/3/4/5 but in some cars is deformed the tire and the tires for wheels upgrade the same :(
