What do you mean with displaying pics?

I mean has anybody come up with any final renders? and are you displaying them anywhere? e.g. on deviantart.com ect.
I've got a couple from FM3, but the models are no way as high poly as what I am getting now, so I need to redo them

AirOne has some few pics posted with FM4 car.
Not actually a render but still.

There are only around 26 really high quality cars in FM4.
The rest are just FM3 quality.

I've been seeing a lot of questions recently regarding the functionality of these new builds so I figure I'll pop in real quick and clear up some of the confusion.

In case I didn't make myself clear earlier, all recent "releases" of Forza Studio (newer than 7.9.10) are unofficial builds I've literally hacked together in order to give you something to play with until I have the time to work out a proper version. I figured this was preferred to no release at all, but I'm beginning to regret this decision.

As for what they can do...I've completely stripped Forza 3 support from them so they should only be able to open Forza 4 LOD0 carbin files (interior/exterior/autovista) at the moment, and I cannot guarantee any functionality, as I've only examined a few carbin files during my development and there are likely special cases which need to be handled accordingly.

I'm unsure as to when I'll get the time to fix UVs or add support for other things, and if there are any other questions, feel free to ask...

Don't worry Ernegien, we appreciate that you posted the WIP versions, really. You will always come across people who dont read carefully enough, or dont understand things right away, anywhere. Personally i'm very glad that we can check out all the new models already, and i thank you for that. :)

Thanks for the status update aswell, will wait patiently for the next version.

Ignore these ignorant people.
Whatever there is a real nice happening, they always will find a reason to whine.
No matter how amazing the work is, they keep complaining.

Don't give them the pleasure to take you down, ignore them.
And turn off you email/pm option so only admins can send you pm's.

We who has readed the full topic, we always appreciate it very much :)

Agreed, I'm more than happy to be able to view and play around with the 3d meshes as they are right now, and I'm more than happy to wait patiently for the final fixed version.

Hi,

I've got the FM4 discs, and extracted the second as an iso using wxripper,
and as mentioned in the topic before it is not recognised as an iso by wx360,
and I get the same error with exiso 2.7 when running it through DOS. When
I drag the iso over exiso.exe, I get a quick flash of a black box and then it
disappears, any help on how to extract the iso?

Try Xbox Backup Creator to extract media.
You can download Xbox Backup Creator here:
http://www.konsolenprofis.de/downloads/ ... hp?id=1499

Scroll below till you see in red DOWNLOAD.

Good luck.

Ow, there are some files on disk2 wich you need wxpirs to extract the other cars.
They are named like 0001_65_zip.

I tried the xbox backup creator, but I get the same result. This is the log file, and a screen shot below.

====================================================================
Xbox Backup Creator v2.9 Build:0345 By Redline99

Found ODD: HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GH50N B103 at [D]

Nero API is not available
ImgBurn executable not found

AP25 cannot locate dae.bin file

I'm not sure if it's the way I extracted the data from disc that is wrong.
I put in a dual layer dvd in to the disc drive, stopped the spin in wxRipper,
Used a paperclip to manually eject the tray and replaced the disc with the Forza one,
then found the magic number and dumped the data as an iso on my C Drive.

I tried mounting the iso to a virtual drive but it just leads to the same thing as trying to read the disc,
with just a video file saying please insert into xbox.

WxPirs just tells me its not a Pirs/Live! file.

All I can say is, is start downloading FM4 from the internet.
I don't know why it's not working properly.

= / That's gonna take a while.

Thanks for the help though!

Edit - I can olny find iso's. Will these definitely extract, because ~7Gb a disc is a lot of bandwidth usage

Well yes, you should have known that.
Some of us are only interested in files extraction, so buying and wasting
60 dollars is pretty pointless.

I suppose, I bought the game, because I play it, extracting models for me to see the meshflow and render them in max would just be a plus.
I'm downloading the limited edition content atm, see if that works and then download the full thing or wait for someone to post the models.
