wrong section, here you list games that can already be extracted and what tools to use, not asking about if it is possible

MrAdults wrote:I suppose I might as well share this list here, I compiled it a long time ago and it's just been sitting around on my hard drive. These are all Playstation Portable games which use the universal Sony GMO format. They can be viewed and converted with a tool I maintain called mesh2rdm. I don't know if anything else supports the GMO format, but I wrote up most of the specs and made them public a long time ago, so anyone can support it if they want to.

Code: Select all

002. Castlevania Chronicles [i]
003. Gitaroo Man Lives [i]
004. Ultimate Ghosts N' Goblins [i]

I wanted to know though if I was looking to rip bounty hounds and it is compressed how would i get the .gmo's?

A little. I've been deciphering this for the last two or three days. I have most of the header, three of the four tables (parameters, chunks, and strings), and a few chunks deciphered. It's not quite enough to export a mesh, not nearly enough for animation. It's a bizarre, extremely inefficient format. I'll post what I have in a new thread when it's (more or less) complete, or when I give up on it, whichever comes first. :)

Oops, hadn't been paying attention to this topic. As I recall Bounty Hounds is already supported by Noesis. I recall they used a weird archive format that was basically tons of gzips crammed together on sector boundaries, unless I'm thinking of something else. But in any case, you can extract it with Noesis.

Wouldn't they get extracted with gitMO? I tried with both and couldn't extract anything. Could have been a bad rip though.

Yeah same here, it worked.

Uh, whenever I try to use gitMO on Rengoku II, it crashes. When I search models only it doesn't. And I find it odd that the there's no equipment for the main character found. Did you ever rip it properly?

Code: Select all

AppName: gitmo.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: gitmo.exe
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 0002a1de

System Shock 2 - Resource extraction is incredibly easy - the archives are renamed ZIP files. Editing them is another story, but is also quite doable.
