Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv
Hi all,
I'll try to decrypt/unpack files (lua, json) from consoles versions.
Ps3 and 360 are similar, 360 has a little diference, but it applies xbddecompress result are that there are same file
Header is always E6EFF8A0
This is a zip file with a sample from pcencrypted, pcdecrypted, ps3 and 360 file.

MGS V QAR Tool v1.2
Now supports 77*************.dat files for PS3/XBOX360 versions of MGS TPP.
Example of TPP files extraction:
NOTES
1) The INF format was slightly changed in this version. The tool should work with older versions, although I would recommend to reunpack your files in order to update INF file.
2) So far you cannot extract the TPP files with real filenames. Apparently, developers added some salt onto hashes, so it'll take time to discover the algorhythm. Stay tuned for updates!
MGS V ResDec
This tool will decrypt several encrypted files (LUA, FPK, JSON, etc.) for MGS GZ and MGS TPP. Supports PC and console versions. Check Readme.txt for details.
EDIT:
MGS V FPK Tool v1.1
Updated FPK Tool now supports console versions.

Thank you so much Serg, I've been looking at this for the last 2 days.Sergeanur wrote:MGS V QAR Tool v1.2

Is there a way to tell what sort of file seach prefix is supposed to be? I haven't really looked into GZ files.
(Nevermind about the MGO dats, I wasn't using the right args...)
And how did you get the filenames for your dictionary? I'd like to get the MGO filenames myself if possible.
P.S. @Cra0, if you notice, this GZ thread was posted before GZ was released too.
Also, the .sdat files are PS3 EDATs with the SDAT options, there is no klic (use 0). I think these are those same shader files Cra0 looked at, the ones xored with 0x9c.
EDIT: Sorry, I've edited this post probably 20 times now...

From PS3 version of the MGS GZ, from LUA scripts, from EXE, and some of those are simply blind guesses.GHzGangster wrote:And how did you get the filenames for your dictionary?
Not possible so far as the hash algorithm was a bit altered for TPP. It's still based on CityHash as far as I can tell.GHzGangster wrote:I'd like to get the MGO filenames myself if possible.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain g0s archiv
Are you sure it's a salt? Perhaps it's a different version of the CityHash library? I was getting different results with different versions before. I'll try looking out for it though.Sergeanur wrote:Not possible so far as the hash algorithm was a bit altered for TPP. It's still based on CityHash as far as I can tell.
EDIT: I found some Lua files I can't seem to decrypt, and I can't seem to decompile them either. Any ideas? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6hFM_ ... sp=sharing

The game's out on PC platform and I guess you might have already started to work on it. In case you need samples, here it is :-Sergeanur wrote:From PS3 version of the MGS GZ, from LUA scripts, from EXE, and some of those are simply blind guesses.
