I've got the _s file table, mesh info table, and fvf table parsed now. Getting all meshes from body_s in 1 swoop.

...is there any table that states what is what car, since unpacked gt.vol file only gives names like 0000,0001,0002... in folders with similar names. And tracks as C001, T001 etc?

BTW, if you guys are really into it, this is how PD showed that mesh looks like in their premium high lod model:

No, premium models are indeed very hi-poly. Google GT6 screenshots and you'll see, particularly the interior.

...yeap, premium models have more lods that standard models, since they are used for photo mode and when in photo mode models just shine.

I don't recall how good were track meshes from previous GT games, are these any improved?

Here is render from ingame of Lamborghini Miura, now with that low mesh this is simply not possible. I know they made a lot of improvements to the engine itself, but mesh is mesh.

I know they bragged about adaptive tessellation, but I don't think they could get those results.

After all it is a PS3, yeah ingame reder, but also when you move camera around in so called photo mode, you can see how detailed car mesh is... So it does render in realtime, wich means that is should have or some really complex algorithm, wich I doubt since PS3 hardware isn't so strong or it has really better meshes somewhere hidden.

BTW what is poly count of those meshes you guys extracted, because PD clamed that their premium car models have like 200k polys

I don't know where they are stored then. If you guys find something you think is a premium model, let me know.

How do I get to that screen in-game? I can log what files are accessed in the debugger.

...well on main menu in GT6 on the most right there is a photo mode, or how is it called. You choose one of the premium cars, and go there to make photos.
Or while watching replay there should be also a photo mode, where you can move camera around and make pictures with high lod car mesh.

In GT5 I think it was accessible from main menu also, it was like a camera icon or something...

I only see hq/body* being accessed in the photo mode. Any car in particular I should use?

...cheapest Premium car that you can buy, like that Fiat Abarth 500 essesse... I think it is cheap
