We hit 10,000 topic views everyone!
So it's time for an update!!!!

Been working on my script kernel, and making some huge progress!
What you're about to witness are 2 scenes (Prologue and Broken) being run COMPLETELY by Beyond's native scripts.
No more hacky code, no manual ordering. EVERYTHING is run by the scripts. The scripts call other scripts, etc.

Note that this proves that my whole kernel is working, now it's just a matter of adding features.

Thanks for all the support everyone!

Since my kernel is almost complete now, I can start adding features!
First off are area's! The loading is now completely dynamic, no more ugly manual shit.
What you see in this video are area's being loaded in, and then shown when the script calls the <areainstance>.ShowCatalog() and hidden when it calls the .HideCatalog() function.

This is pretty freaking awesome if I may say so myself.

Ok, got camera shot's working (again), this time much better of course!
Also got dynamic area loading in there now, along with some Hide() and Show() functions.

Btw, for the ones who have been following the to-do list, I have just quickly updated them (gotta do a better update though), but I've now also finally implemented "actions" (custom events set by the developer) in my script engine. This means it's sorta... complete? At least for the core scripting engine.

Note that the z-buffer fighting is just because normally there would be a more complicated shader applied to there or that part wouldn't even be visible.

Very nice dude !!

Its exactly what my project was (porting some xbox classic games to pc [like DOA, project gotham, midtown madness etc..]) and even re-mastering some old psx games ([ff, saga frontier, front mission etc...]).


Too bad, never get any help, and I'm too busy right now with my own game to continue.......



But, like I said in a pm to Mr.Mouse, it will be a good idea to make a subforum for porting/remastering games, I know a lot of people who try to port maps/gameplay or free dlc to PC (like some sonic unleashed maps [only on console] to sonic generation in PC]...)

Thanks! To be honest though, this isn't the same as porting console-specific maps to PC versions, this is about getting the whole game on there! :P
