The header on "StudioLogos.scx" (the first video the game plays) has this in it:

Because it mentioned it uses x264 Codec, one would assume that it's just got a extension I hadn't heard of (.scx)
The simple answer is VLC can play it using the x264 Codec, just associate your files with VLC and it will play them. It will also display other information contained in the .scx file. on the video widescreen bars.
