Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Re: [Xbox 360] Forza 3 Resource Extraction Tool (.carbin)
idk if anyone else has noticed (as I have yet to see anyone mention it), and I'm unsure to which process is causing it..
but every single vertex on these models are broken-
which is easily the cause for all the bad exports, chewed up meshes and misinterpreted smoothing I've seen associated with these tools
great work tho gentlemen, keep it up

how did you get the model into zmodeler2 ?
when i try to import the mesh i edited with sommergemuese's tutorial, i end up with fucked vertices or distortion problems..a little guide would be much appreciated.

Good work on the textures. I still dont understand how you make the livery show up. I get only the generic part of the nodamage_lod0.xds

I know .. I'm stupid
lol
@ Varel
First convert the TGA to PNG or what ever you like
Second not all cars have liverys
Third: Use your favourite 3D App and assign the right textures on the right place

It's better use lod1 model, because these are almost perfect compared to lod0 with broken polys

Thanks!
Now it works. I was not able to import the .TGA to photoshop without the alpha channel already applied. Searching a conversion tool I discovered that the free utility DDS converter allows you to export directly to DDS without having to save as PNG.

can someone please answer Smoke's question about getting the mesh into Zm please..
and please address the issue that I raised about all of the verts being broken,
because unless you're doing a straight conversion (no scratch work, no working doors, ect.),
the broken vertices caused by F3RET are rendering these models pretty much useless :/
