You was supposed to move .crn file to the crunch.exe. (you can also use microsoft powershell for this if you know how to use it)

You just need to change extension to .crn. For example save it as "name.crn" instead of "name.pte".

As I said you need to use crunch. It will still be encrypted but you'll be able to open it. Some of the old textures can be opened without crunch, but you need open them in hex editor (HxD), remove everything up until the beginning of the "DDS" word, and rename the extension to .dds, or op...

Because they're encrypted. If you want to open them you need to use crunch. Sadly after using crunch they're still encrypted, but now you can open them. We're still trying to figure out how to decrypt them.
