Re: Jet Set Radio HD Level Model File
So I was wandering around the forum to see if there were any posts about Jet Set Radio as someone recently asked if I could take a look at the file format. Then I saw your screenshot of the mesh in hex and noticed right away that it's a variant of the .nj format. I've been staring at the .nj format ...

Re: xmx 3D files Sega GT 2002
Sorry for resurrecting an old board but I came across this board awhile back looking to see if there was any documentation on the xbox xmx file format which is also used for House of the Dead III. I spent a few days and managed to get a HotD3 script running (with a few minor texture errors) but I wa...

Re: House Of The Dead II [PC]
I want to say about a year and a half (on and off). There's another HotD2 board on here that I last replied to around Dec of 2018. I also posted some prelim stuff back in Nov last year on the Discord. But it wasn't until the latest Blender update, which included a math node to help with the mirrorin...

A little progress update:

I'll post a more detailed explanation of the format when I get around to it.

Re: House Of The Dead II [PC]
Perfect timing. I just posted this yesterday. I even referenced that same video before even seeing this board.

Re: Typing of the Dead (PS2) BMR Textures
I kind of figured it was compressed, was hoping it wasn't. My feeling tells me that the data for the mdb files are also compressed.

Typing of the Dead (PS2) BMR Textures
Hi everyone, So I came across a copy of the PS2 version of Typing of the Dead and started looking at the file structure which to my surprise was a bit different than the usual HotD2 and TotD PC versions. Files in the root directory are stored in .HAB containers (which was easy to extract) but two ne...

Re: The House Of The Dead 2 (PC) .bin files
That's good to hear. Which copy of HOD2 are you using? I tried using a Dreamcast dump but the textures came out all garbled. I ended up finding an old copy of the game on a backup drive back from who knows when and it had better results. Also, I wonder how much progress this guy has made despite th...

Re: The House Of The Dead 2 (PC) .bin files
The .bin files in this game are definitely different that Hotd 1, III and 4; I can tell you that from experience since I've successfully extracted models from those games. I'm planning to look into these .bin files early next year, hopefully I can make some progress on it. Nice. Not to mention, I t...

Re: HMDL Model file Question.
I know is a fairly old topic but I wanted to finally shed some light for anyone else who is interested. Following the group of face indices are the counts and offsets of the where each index group starts; there really isn't a marker to where the index group ends so you'll have to use the counts to e...
