Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Right now I can't launch EasyMYP, but I've located the textures in my collection of extracted assets. In case it helps, they end up stored at: resources > art > dynamic > player_character > outfit > gehelmet > texture > ___psd > (the usual five textures starting with that name) ((tomorrow I'll check...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

From a full extraction of the game assets that I did through EasyMyp, I'm seeing all the blue maps stored as plain .dds image files at: resources > world > areas > (a numeric ID) > (human-readable map name).dds It seems that the game's .tor files where they are stored are those named "swtor_mai...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

I have a Nodeviewer question. Are the game items' common names (say, "R-55 Searing Disruptor") stored somewhere visible in the Nodeviewer's tree structure? I'm trying to learn how to find them and derive stuff like Model IDs and FQNs from that, so that I'm able to work that out in the abse...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Nice! Thanks :] A couple of questions for anybody who could answer them: Years ago, at an old post in this very thread, SWTOR fan posted a link to the game's HLSL code for the rehueing shader . Although it's almost gibberish to me (not so much for it being programming code but for the myriad math op...

The people at Jedipedia.net said they had managed to decipher it. I don't know if they posted the information anywhere.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

I've been given notice of a recent guide to extract SWTOR models for 3D-printing by means of Ninja Ripper, Noesis and Blender (or any other 3d app able to open .obj files and export .stl ones). I'm posting it here just in case it's useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/eptxfv/ripping_your_...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

My Gdrive limits me to about 17 GB. I'll have to slim down things.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

About WINE: yes, I guess you would have to get, say, Oracle's VirtualBox, install some Linux plus Wine, and tell the thing to access the Windows folder where the game assets are. A bit eeergh :( Alright: I'll see about uploading the thing to my Gdrive. When it's ready I'll send you a linkie. About t...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

By the way: I've managed to have Noesis work on my Mac wrapped in WINE (accessing a copy of the game's .tor files that I moved to my Mac's HDD), exporting game objects without trouble so perhaps that might be a route if the problem proves itself unsolvable.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

My static and dynamic assets folders add up to some 50 GB. I have the bandwidth to get that uploaded anywhere in an evening (unless the zillion small files slow down the process), but I don't know where I could put them. I think I don't have any Windows 10 autoupdate blocker in my PC, and the last t...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

I run it on Windows 10 (64bit, but that's typical nowadays) and I'm not doing anything special at all to have it work :-|

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

RealymanLP kindly posted the tools here a while ago: viewtopic.php?p=151229#p151229
That download includes TorMYP, Noesis and NodeViewer. I believe that's the latest release.

I think the names.txt file isn't needed to operate TorMYP. At least I've never used it with the app.

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

I think something similar happened to me some time ago, and I had to use fresh copies of both TorMyp and a hash file to make it work again.
