Re: Amplitude .STR files
My guess would be something like that yes. because i cannot imagine they made a realtime filtering engine that filters it all out on the spot during the gameplay ;) there is now an basic STR converter in the new Jaeder Naub thing to be tested. http://jaedernaub.ath.cx use the File/Load on menu, cli...

Re: Sega Saturn - Dragon Force Files
I'm no expert but the .ai files in the sound folder seem to both have a file called ssnd.snd, the sound is 99.99% AIFF, it says so in the header the .cpk is a SEGA FILM video file (confirmed) I have no idea what the .grp files are but I am about 1% sure they are graphic files, anyway, they seem encr...

Re: Which multiplayer games you play
Well, Dinoguy, perhaps C&C: Generals or C&C3 is more to your liking, I found that you can play rather quick battles, with less lenghty build-up stages (whole battles lasting under 1 hour). As for upcoming games, I'm looking forward to Spore, to see if it will indeed be that special. I hope ...

Re: .sfd Video Files, Softdec video
ok, this could be useful...but I can't be sure its true so you may just be wasting your time... see, .sfd files can be made by combining mpeg with audio, but at the time of the DC I have reason to believe the people then used MPEG-1, so the Sega DC Movie Creator should have something to do with MPEG...

Re: .sfd Video Files, Softdec video
Yes, so that SFD files start off with some header, and at some point there's a .m2v file, but with a difference. At 0x7e0 intervals there's a line of approx. 0x1f bytes with info that is missing from the actual .m2v file. This info may refer to sound data later in the file, but I'm not sure. The SF...

Re: Modding Results
Okay, yesterday I've taken a brief look at them and I should be able to extract an mv2 file from the SFD. When I compare the mv2 and the SFD, I notice there's a 0x1c bytes extra information part every 0x7e0 bytes in the video file in the SFD, that is removed in the mv2 file. I wonder what that is, ...
