Re: Metal Gear Solid (PS1) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
Is that with the PS1 version of the game? This is an example of what my s17a folder looks like, do your files match up? In most cases there shouldn't be anything that you have to move around as everything is grouped by stages (same for all mgs games), generally its only the 'resident' files that hav...

Metal Gear Solid (PS1) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
I've released a Noesis plugin to view textured models and animations for MGS on the PS1. To view animations you have to select 'Prompt for Motion Archive' in the tool menu. You can get the plugin here; https://github.com/Jayveer/MGS-KMD-Noesis/releases Textures will auto-apply if the Dar stg_tex dar...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
Yeah, the only thing I have left for mgs1 animations is the position bitstream, but it looks fine without it as well so I may just end up releasing it without that.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
... Here is how I would do it: https://youtu.be/j1BfsEbVc_c Ah thanks for this, so by rigging you meant the textures? Sorry, I usually relate rigging to bones/weight. I did a new release that should auto apply textures, it appears I needed to explicitly put the extension on the filename when making...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
Have you tried playing an animation in Noesis directly? Just trying to find out where exactly this problem is happening.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
Hm, I just tried with 'slot/8/f395b8.mdl' and it was fine for me. I'm wondering if it's a problem on export, what program are you exporting it into? Have you tried playing an animation for the file within Noesis? For that one you can pair it with 83eea9.mtar in stage/s045a, should be the animation f...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
Hi, yeah splitting up the animation is something I'd like to do, I asked in a previous thread how I could go about doing that with Noesis but didn't get a reply on it. I think I just need to dig into the API more. Do you have an example of an mgs3 file that has messed up weighting so I can look into...

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Stage/Slot Extractor
Hi, I've also yet to come across the environment data, I'll have to put together that dictionary to make things easier to identify but I have a feeling it will be something to do with the .vram files as its the only game in the series I've come across that uses them. As for Snake Eater, if it's the ...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2) Noesis Plugin (Models, Anims)
I''m actually not sure, I think the mtar's for cutscenes are in the demo.dat alongside other stuff used for cutscenes, rather than the stage and slot files. But i've never looked into the demo.dat files.

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Stage/Slot Extractor
I'm focusing on the mainline mgs games for now. But I may afterwards. I think it is also MDP which means I'd add it to the PW noesis plugin.

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Stage/Slot Extractor
No problem, that list would be helpful thanks, I'll try to add dictionary support as well soon to resolve some of the hashes. I'll return to this again at some point but for now want to focus on finishing adding Noesis support for the other MGS games.

sorry, I don't plan on supporting those files anytime soon. Have you also been looking in the Stage and Dar files?

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Stage/Slot Extractor
The PSP version has the same. However a lot of those files that don't open have duplicate files which do have a Vertex offset, but I couldn't say where the soldier outfits are as I haven't tried every file.
