Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
Well, I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate over my aging XP MCE install, and so far so good. Unfortunately, I still get the same errors I've been getting with converting ANBs to MSETs. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentNullException: Buffer cannot be null. Parameter name: buff...

Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
Thanks a bunch! :) I can open Kairi's files now, but I can't see the model for some reason (but I can see her keyblade model, odd). Another thing I noticed is that there has to be a matching mset or the mdlx won't load. I don't know if that's a new feature or one that's been around since revelation...

Re: Kingdom Hearts MDLX and Re:coded File Viewer (Request?)
Shameless bump with another question: Would it just be easier to drag the unpacked game's main folder onto each decomposer, or do I really need to dig into the subdirectories and do it? It seems like it'd be a lot quicker to just drag the main folder itself onto them, but I dunno whether that would ...

Re: Kingdom Hearts MDLX and Re:coded File Viewer (Request?)
Assuming you actually have the Re:coded game legally and you just downloaded an identical ROM, you would use dslazy to extract everything, but then use http://www.propl.nl/random/DSDecmp4b.zip and http://www.propl.nl/random/NinUnpack.zip in alternation to unpack and decompress the models and other ...

Re: Kingdom Hearts MDLX and Re:coded File Viewer (Request?)
Okay, I have a ROM for Re: coded and am using Tahaxan to peek inside... and I'm completely lost on what to do to extract everything. Furthermore, is there anything available to view models/whatnot if I get this ROM extracted? (Old topic is old, I know, but I figured a little help is better than none.)

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Well in that case your work is much appreciated. As I said I wasn't asking, nor was I expecting. I'll keep looking, eventually I'll get it, right? At least that's the idea... That's usually how it goes. In the case of PS2 stuff, at least there's a lot of documentation on the hardware workings float...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
I managed to get a detailed debugging output of Noesis' crash under Wine, I hope this is of use to you, MrAdults: here ya go.

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Latest version still works just fine for me in whatever ancient version of darwine I've got on my osx partition. Reasons for not making non-Windows builds are numerous, including the fact that there's absolutely no reason it shouldn't run in wine (and has never failed on any version I've tried - it...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
It's a good thing I still dual-boot with Windows, because apparently Noesis no longer works with Wine (I dual-boot with Ubuntu 11.04, latest Wine version installed through PPA). Which is odd, considering it used to work just fine in Wine. :? Times like this I wonder why Noesis isn't multiplatform......

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis
Am I the only one so far to note how it's a bit odd how there's a plugin for Ninja Gaiden 2/DOAX2, yet nothing for stuff like Dead or Alive Ultimate? If I could write code, I'd do it myself (I can barely even write HTML >_>;), but yeah.

Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
Thanks for the tip, but I already have the tool. :) How do you get the multiple-ANB-to-one-MSET thing to work? All I got was ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentNullException: Buffer cannot be null. Parameter name: buffer at System.IO.MemoryStream..ctor(Byte[] buffer, Boolean...

Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
You mean a model and its associated MSETs? Okay, but knowing my luck, they'll work fine on your computer. >_>; edit: ...or not want to upload as an attachment at all. Anyone else get a 500 Internal Server Error when they try to upload an attachment? edit 2: Ended up just uploading it to Mediafire. H...

Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
Just for technical reasons, I guess I should post the relevant specs of my computer: CPU: 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo GRAPHICS: Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT, 1 GB of video RAM, DirectX 9 since I still have Windows XP >_>; C++ REDISTRIBUTABLE: Microsoft C++ 2010, not sure if there's others that I might need.

Re: MSET RESEARCH PROJECT + FILES UPLOADED + SOURCES
Thanks! Just curious though, is there a way to get all of a character's ASETs to play in Noesis, or would I have to manually rename for each one I want to play? edit: Also, been seeing a lot of "Unhandled exception" errors when trying to run these converted MSETs through khkh_xldM ][ (Yes,...
