Just been having fun with the beta and fixing UV's while Ernegien or someone figures the UV problem.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
@RacingFreak: Disable the tuning rear bumpers and exhausts, you'd get the same faces as Forza 3. Forza 4 has a bodykit for the 2011 Taurus SHO but in Forza 3 they didn't. "BumperFB, BumperRB, ExhaustRB, ExhaustLB, SkirtRB, SkirtLB etc"
Just saying, encase you didn't notice.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I matched the UV's up on a car. *The interior leathers etc are just my custom UV's but the main interior texture (As the heater and button logo's were Forza 4 UV rescaled and moved) http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/153/teslaex.jpg http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4079/unled2aw.jpg *3dsmax didn't l...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
So are they exporting correctly now or do you think there's some form of scale being applied to them as well? I'm also only exporting the first of two texture coordinates, any ideas what the second would be used for? Scale and position are the ones that are missing. My images I have shown is using ...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Tip: Don't attach any body parts with others.. That's how UV mapping goes crazy. Car hoods, some front bumpers, rear bumpers will be over sized and that is what makes the UV mapping look incorrect. Separate part by part UV's work but they are just out of place and not sized. :] Here is a prime examp...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
@Bregel: Are you using the "forza studio 10.17.11" ? Because the old Forza Studio had bad UV mapping, I am using the 10.17.11 I can see the mapping but like I have said in my post it just needs to be placed and resized properly. Example: Using the 99 Toyota GT1. http://img534.imageshack.us...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
@Ernegien: Gave it a shot myself and UV is still not mapping out. I didn't notice a slight change though, if that is worth anything. :] Edit: Slightly stretched I think as its hanging over the texture. (Click to enlarge) http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/7181/37079716.th.jpg The UV's are displaying...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Great work, I been snooping around all the cars. I shall wait for LOD1 to 5 and UV mapping.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
@Ernegien: Will your Forza Studio use the scale of the models to the same size as FM3 models? Or will it export the new size FM4 uses?

As much as I am not Energien.bigBear wrote:Energien, I assume the zip of FM4 is the same as the zip from FM3?
I can answer that though, yes the ZIP format is the same as Forza 3. When I looked inside of FM4 cars I just used the zip script for QuickBMS.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Awesome progress.
Pretty neat that FM4 isn't released yet and yet we will have your forza studio updated to support FM4 cars.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
toolieo, the demo does not have autovista. i could imagine doorsills and engines maybe only in the final game ... ? That is true but even the other cars that you cannot drive in the demo still have their full cockpit file, acting like a full car. :) Guess we'll have to wait till the release, I hone...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Forza 4 has the Cinque Roadster only, Turn10 put the soft top up on it. :( The difference with the Cinque Roadster and Cinque (Coupe?) is the air scoop. http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/294/unled1gg.th.jpg I believe you can take it off the Zonda Cinques soft top during Autovista mode (Don't quote ...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Epic win.. That's all I can say mate.
Edit: Something that came to mind, the Pagani Cinque Roadster is a Autovista car. I noticed in your forzastudio progress that the full modeled engine is not there or is that part of the cockpit LOD0?
