Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
Okay, so maybe I got this all wrong. The number of colours in one picture is obviously limited to 256, judging from the palette. But the RGB values of the palette can be anything, right? The game does not care about that? Or will each slot have the same palette you create? Honestly I'm not sure. (I...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
Some more pics of stuff made with this tool. A few of these are blurry. They look pretty decent in-game. "Will Fight For Money" shirt w/logo shirt w/ "Dirty Boxer" logo Trunks w/ sponsor logos Kimbo wearing an ornate Kimbo shirt! Brock shirt, logos Trunks w/logos (er, didn't mean...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
OK, I've had some more time to mess with it. I've stopped bothering with slot 10 for now, and have had no cases of the game wiping out the whole save file since I stopped using slot 10. That "resetting small images to be doubled-up big ones" has happened a couple more times. I started maki...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
Argh. Just tried it again. Seems like whenever I try to put an image in slot 10, the game thinks the entire file is corrupted and wipes out everything in the Paint tool. (And yes, I'm using the newest version)

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
I may have found a bug. I put in some new images - the first couple were 128x128. The last couple were 256x256. When I went to use them in the game, the first ones had been changed to 256x256, so the images were doubled-up inside there. Now, maybe that was ME doing something stupid so I don't want t...

Aha! The only one I was trying to replace was image 0. If it works on the others, that's awesome.
Thanks so much, guys!

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
Snyperstyle, can you elaborate? Are you saying you save the image in-game first to correct the palette, then you can overwrite it on the pc with an image you made in PhotoShop? If so, can you post the exact sequence of events? Here's what I did, and had no success with: 1. Open an image in-game in t...

Mouse, these might be of some use to you: http://www.stormclad.com/PaintToolTesting.zip It contains three paint files. 1. My working in-game Paint file 2. Same file - I opened up the first image in the game, made NO changes, saved it 3. Same file - I opened up the first image in the game, made a sma...

Re: smackdown vs raw 2010
Oh -- and I'm using Paint Shop Pro 9 to save out the new file as an 8-bit 256x256x256 BMP file. Still no go. I would seriously consider using Adobe Photoshop To be fair, PSP has improved a lot over the years. I never run into anything it can't do when I need graphics. (I mean, I'm sure there are th...
