Although I have no use for this format myself, I'd love to see the animations in a non-game setting, so BUMP
And sorry for replying with no result.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 1 - Animate obj files
I doubt you actually read what Pepsee is saying. He's not saying OBJ is the format that contains animation data, instead it's the Max script for the RE1 models that turn the segmented parts of the mesh into a rigged and animated form, which is then turned into a format which DOES contain animations...

Re: [PS3] Bluepoint Games (MGS2_3HD+ICO_SOTC(.cmdl)) [Maxscript]
Hey! I got the cmdl files from the SOTC PS3 Remaster, and I'm getting an error no matter what model I attempt to import. What model did you import with the script, and what could I have done wrong when getting the CMDL files?

Re: PROTOTYPE 1 Animation Extraction Help
Man this really sucks, i've been wanting a reliable way to export for years now which includes animation stuff, if it was just as easy as reading keyframe data in the animation for bone translation, rotation, and scale it'd be awesome.

Re: PROTOTYPE 1 Animation Extraction Help
The only thing that pops up is a bunch of "unknowns". The second drop down opens up 50+ with even more drop downs. And there is a button for exporting, but it only supports DDS, and you have to manually set the extension. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/299622545160929292/6398725557...

Re: PROTOTYPE 1 Animation Extraction Help
I should also mention I don't need the models, that's not something i'm worried about, as I've already gotten the prototype blender script working.

PROTOTYPE 1 Animation Extraction Help
So, i'm just gonna keep this quick. A program called Edit3D was created a LONG time ago, and it is supposed to allow you to edit the P3D format, such as textures. (Though I still haven't gotten this working myself, and personally don't need it to work.) It has the entire P3D format in a readable fo...
