Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
Just had a quick look, I haven't looked at the encrypted/compressed ones yet (files with ZCTT header). NCTT header ttarch layout: Header File info table Filename table (with many blank bytes at the end) File data 4 bytes = "NCTT" 4 bytes = size of 3ATT file 4 bytes = 0 4 bytes = "3ATT...

Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
As far as I'm aware - it does:
Code: Select all
version = fgetxx(fd, 4);
if((version < 1) || (version > 9)) {
printf("\nError: version %d is not supported yet\n", version);
exit(1);
}

Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
Hi everyone, again. We want to translate Sam&Max: Season 2 But I can't get dds from *.font files. Maybe someone could help me with this? Here is one of fonts - http://multi-up.com/136603 Thx in advance. I'm not 100% certain, but I think its because the Sam and Max games use a slightly different...

Re: Telltale and Gametap - extract to translate
Normally in Telltale games, the font files are similar to the DXTC files, in that they are dds images with an additional header.
Assuming this is still the case for TMI (I haven't checked) you should be able to use a hex editor to extract the dds, edit it and put it back.

Re: known instances of games companies attacking modders?
As Bugtest (and my old post) said, Telltale didn't issue me with a takedown or C+D. What actually happened was that I was dumb. I had just finished making a new version of Telltale Explorer, which added support for reading and decrypting ttarchs/files (much like Bugtest's recent tool does). I'd spen...

Re: Encrypted file - any ideas?
Wow, this thread is a real blast from the past.
As a sidenote - John_Doe figured out the ttarch and file encryptions in 2006, however Telltale asked that the decryption tool not be made public. See here for more.

Telltale Speech Extractor.
I'll post the specs for the VOX format in the Wiki soon.

The ogg's in the aud files can be ripped straight out with any ripping program or Telltale Music Extractor (just a 128 byte header from memory). The speex data in the vox files isnt in an ogg container though, so needs putting in one to play them back/dump them. I'd be very interested if anyone know...
