Re: Frogger's Adventures Model (RENDERWARE)
Perfect, this was exactly what I was hoping for. I'm still a little confused how to select a texture for a material in this program, but other that that this is great.

Re: Frogger's Adventures Model (RENDERWARE)
Thanks! I wasn't entirely looking for hex2obj, but that information is still useful. I thought you were the one who's coding Frogger-tools? :D I'm not sure what you mean by this. Yup, that's me, I make the Frogger modding tools :P I'm checking out a new Frogger game (there are a lot, this is the thi...

Frogger's Adventures Model (RENDERWARE)
Hello again! I was working on file formats for Frogger's Adventures: The Rescue, when I cracked the compression algorithm. Unsurprisingly, the files I have decompressed are Renderware Stream files. However, I'm completely unable to find any Renderware tool which is able to actually view these models...

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
It's because I have a file parser which parses all of the files in the game now. That 6YTV is a chunk identifier, and I just uploaded the chunk data itself.

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Kneesnap, Did you cut the first 8 bytes from the evilfish.vtx and dragon.vtx files? The 3725.vtx and MUSHBIG.VTX files have the '6YTV' id (4 bytes) and the (about) the file size value (4 bytes). I have extracted the files from the data.bin file with the frogger_great_quest.bms, but all of the .vtx ...

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Damn. You guys are awesome, whenever I get stuck you guys are always able to point me in a helpful direction. I'll check this out. I guess my problem going forward will be that I'm hoping to be able to do this automatically in my extractor while also preserving UV values. It seems like that'll be do...

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Alright guys, it's been a while. I've managed to use information from here + information I've figured out myself to create a model exporter which mostly works. However, there's a good 30% of models where the faces are all wrong. I have uploaded two models, one where faces work properly and one where...

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Another quick question. What was the "Fake" button in your hex2obj screenshot? I can't seem to make that happen.
Also! I believe this is a 3D model for a map. Could you assist in finding the 3D data for it? Thanks again!

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Hey! Thank you so much for the help. I don't know how you're able to figure this out so fast. I'll have a program to fully read these models soon.

Re: Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Update! It turns out, I do actually have a side-by-side comparison between a .obj model and a .vtx model. I've attached it below.

Frogger The Great Quest 3D Model Format
Hello! Could I get help with hex2obj settings for Frogger The Great Quest's models? I'll upload an example below. I happen to have a model ripped with NinjaRipper, however I'm not actually sure which file is that model in the games files. So, I'm asking here for help. Thanks! File (Big mushroom): ht...

Re: Frogger 3D .MAP
It's been a while since I've posted here. Thought I'd give an update. We've made progress on our complete Frogger modding tool. @shakotay2 Once again, thanks for your help back when. Re: Frogger VAB Audio
I don't know if it will be any help for you, but you can also convert these files to WAV using PsxSound 1.0 http://hitmen.c02.at/html/psx_tools.html I have checked it on your samples and it worked fine. Good luck with FrogLord. :D Edit: Try also VABTool and VAGEdit http://psx-core.ru/load/0-0-0-241...

Frogger VAB Audio
I'm working on creating a modding tool for Frogger (1997). It currently supports the PC sound file format, however the Playstation audio format is a little more complicated. I've been having trouble figuring out the sound format. A tool I found called PSound seems to be able to extract the sounds, b...

Re: Relating source code to binary
Hey, I've acquired the source code to an old PSX/PC game, and I'm currently working a level editor for the game. I'd like to be able to modify the .exe's binary data. (IE: Map registries, modify the information about texture id, theme id, etc). How can I calculate the hex position of values in a .e...
