So 8 bit direct color system is often confused with an indexed color depth of 8bpp, as well as common misconception is that 32-bit color produces 4,294,967,296 distinct colors whereas in reality, 32-bit color actually refers to 24-...

Strange fixed Palette.

I have encountered rather unusual situation in the old game palette, where the values of Red Green and Blue do not exceed certain range. They all are from 0 to 60 or just about. Obvoiusly as a result of such a situation when I apply palette to greyscale picture it is dark and I need to Autocontrast ...

Ypu can open the larger picture as a RAW in greyscale size 512x512 header 1088 . If you convert that to index format and apply extracted palette you should get original...

Hi,
They are 8 bit images opening as RAW if you enter width size 256x256 for smaller and 512x512 for larger. There is header in each file probable containing palette information. Header for small pic 1280, for larger 1088.

I have bunch of of numbers formated with 6 decimal places. I need to round each of them (up or down) to closest 1/8th (0.125) incremen...

Tell me, what is this from? A jet sim?
It is a model from the jet sim, but I have no idea where from. I think it is "home made" development, I got just a model.

What kind of 3D file that could be?

Here is some snipet from the text file which is suppose to be 3D. It sits in "geometry" folder. 0,54, 1,8, 0,1, 1,111, 2,54, 1,8, 2,1, 1,117, 3,258 And here is another ,but in "data" folder which could be also a candidate for 3D but I not sure. Bothe files are not related. First ...

Zoltan comes frequently to this forum which is very good thing. Thanks anyway for posting the link to his 3DObject Converter. His Project is becoming one of the most prominent and universal conversion utilities around. IMHO it could be even more popular with modders, if it include more 3D materials ...

Again, if I may, I would like to alert Zoltan Karpati to see this package. Possibly materials contained there could be sufficient to include 3dz format into his nearly universal 3D Object Converter. Also they could serve as an template how the format of the possibly new 3D file needs to be described...
