The main models seem to be contained within these encrypted, extension-less files from the downloaded data. Once we can get these things figured out, we should be more set, in terms of getting things ripped.

I actually tried ripping it myself, but using the Windows 10 version of it. Apparently, this version uses a Game Maker type format, but none of the tools I tried to make it work with seem to do the job. That works for me. I'm more interested in ripping characters found on the tracks, anyway. Namely the Boos and King Boom Boo, as stated.

Good stuff, but would it be possible to make the tool able to work with stage Background characters?

Ones like King Boom Boo end up with their skeleton pre-posed and out of alignment:

Would anyone be willing to DM me the data files that download when you start up the game? I've been trying to get them via BlueStacks, but I can never seem to wrap my head around how one gets data files that aren't included in the main ipa/apk file. Hope I'm not being a bit of a nuisance for asking ...
