Re: [PC] Dark Souls III model import maxscript
evidence of my cursed persistence, not a bad thing but I was surprised were the textures were found in, Data4 o330040.objbnd That's where I first thought I found the textures as well, but you'll notice the filenames don't match what the mesh is requesting -- the actual textures the mesh references ...

Re: Dark Souls 3 *.bdt and *.bhd Files
Atvaark and I solved this last piece together via chat -- while he put together his new release, I confirmed that everything directly inside the main archives extracts without errors. Presumably that means the files are all correct, but we won't know 100% for sure until we start looking more directl...

Re: Dark Souls 3 *.bdt and *.bhd Files
FROM Software has been stepping up their game in hiding their data with each iteration of Dark Souls. Here's some info about the files so far: The root archives are composed of 2 files each: A .BHD file (header), and a .BDT file (data). Historically, these files are slightly different than the simil...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
So, it seems some folks are having issues with having to use a bunch of different tools to extract files for Dark Souls. I posted my tool, DSExplore, earlier in this thread, however I've got an experimental new version that not only fixes a bug or two, but also has limited support for rebuilding som...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
And what I'm saying is that you shouldn't _need_ that. Hence why I'm asking where you're getting it from? There is very possibly another solution to this.

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
Where are you getting the WP_A_0100 value from, that you're trying to cross-reference it with the real name shown in DSMODT?

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
I've never thought about the flask, or where it's stored. Since it doesn't fall under any of the categories that DSMODT supports, I suppose it must be stored elsewhere. I've never looked~ In the future I plan to add more information about models, such as vertex count, bone information, etc.. What do...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
Fixing that would require integrating with FaceGen, the technology used to morph the face during character creation. That would be a very involved endeavour with very small take-away, so I have deliberately left that undone, however it _is_ on my TODO list as a lower priority item.

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
It's taken me a really long time, but I finally got DSMODT to the point where it can be used by the general public. Right now, it's deliberately restricted to editing weapon meshes/textures only, but this will be expanded upon now that the core framework is in place. Download here: https://dl.dropbo...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
This isn't a conspiracy to keep anything secret^^ It's more an issue of people having the time to go in-depth with explanations that have, to my knowledge, been mostly done already, or to do the actual extracting that you're requesting. Also, since I'm here and posting, an update on DSMODT: I'm hopi...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
DSMODT has a rudimentary bone-mapper in it. So long as you provide a mesh that's weighted to a skeleton with bone names that match those on the skeleton of the enemy it's being applied to, the bone weights transfer over. So all I did is wrote a program that took the Skeleton King file and "rebu...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
Technically there's no exporting of the meshes at this time. DSMODT currently only supports importing meshes, not exporting them.

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
At the moment, there's no support for editing skeletons, as that gets into Havok territory. And as we all know, being able to -read- a file format is definitely very different than being able to -write- that same file format. Once I have Havok under control tho, there will be almost nothing we can't...

Re: Dark Souls FLV file
Not sure if you guys saw, but I put Diablo3's Skeleton King into Dark Souls the other day- it even made it on to Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/bonkers-mod-puts-diablos-skeleton-king-in-dark-souls-1626994309 That said, I'm currently polishing up DSMODT and making it a much nicer user experience, but I'm ...
