Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
Thanks for uploading that! I've been looking through the level files in XML format, and haven't found too much we haven't known yet. Code inputs specific to a level are usually included in the level files (at least this goes for the ritual monolith room). The 32 and 64 cube cutscenes are the only th...

Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
Vash, fesh0r, are either of you still working on this? I'm also wondering if it's possible to play some of the sound effect XNBs and possibly "Wave Bank.xwb" which has all the layers of the game's soundtrack. The level files offer a bit of interesting info what what's being utilized from t...

Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
I've managed to view some of the textures using ICY Hexplorer's pixel view feature, and I've even found some unused (?) level designs and full 2D levels, as well as the fourth set of concentric circles which has yet to be found in the game (there's 8 sets in total, and they can be found on the floor...

Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
Has there been any success yet? Or has this just been forgotten amongst something else?
Just wondering since there hasn't been any posts or anything about any attempts or advancement in this project at all and I'm just itching to hear an update.

Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
Any progress? I've been able to read the gametext file, and even found some neat unused dialog. There's also some files that use the 2DTexture reader built in with XNA, but I have not been able to view them with GXView at all.

Re: Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
around this topic, his blog is really interesting - http://theinstructionlimit.com/category/fez he was also interviewed for the indie game movie if you want to know more Ah, yes. I've read his blog quite thoroughly. I posted a couple things I found out about the programming of the game in the old t...

Custom Reader program needed for FEZ XNB files
(sorry that this is another thread in the same forum, but the main task in the first thread is over and irrelevant thanks to Vash and I have absolutely no clue if this could fit in any other forum) Pretty much continuing off my other thread… http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9596 Clic...

Re: FEZ 'other.pak' File Decompression Help
I'm not sure if I should make another topic for figuring out how to read and render some of these files or if it's not worth making a topic for.

Re: FEZ 'other.pak' File Decompression Help
Okay, I haven't been able to view anything yet in GXView. Some of the files (which mostly seem to be normal image files) will just yield me a message "Error: End position does not match XNB header: unexpected amount of data was read.", though character sprites give me an error "Error:...

Re: FEZ 'other.pak' File Decompression Help
Thanks! Unfortunately, opening the files in GXview brought up an error message asking for FEZ reader file, which I was worried about. I've been reading the game's programmer's blog lately out of interest on http://theinstructionlimit.com and a recent entry talks about how the game shipped with 3D te...

Re: FEZ 'other.pak' File Decompression Help
http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8312 Don't know if that bms script works for everything. Doesn't seem to work out for me. Also, if anyone is confused, it's this FEZ I'm looking into: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q55RJ41hv4c EDIT: I'm not sure, but I just found out there's a forum...

FEZ 'other.pak' File Decompression Help
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. Lately, I've been interested in viewing some of the resource files for the game 'FEZ', as there's still many unsolved mysteries and secrets that still lie within the game, and pretty well hidden. I thought I might check these files to see if I c...
