Re: Watch_Dogs fat and dat archives

I guess the game uses pre-compiled binary shaders code, so your changes have no effect. I think you're right. Thats what the .cso, .gso, .pso files in \shadersobj_unpack\engine\shaders\obj are for... Some of them even include 'Microsoft (R) HLSL Shader Compiler 9.29.952.3111' in the header... So ye...

Re: Watch_Dogs fat and dat archives

It works without any problems, have been tinkering around with a bunch of xmls and could see the changes in game without recompression just by using the pack command. Well it most certainly depends on which file you modified, I guess. For me I tried to modify many many .fx shaders files originally ...

Re: Watch_Dogs fat and dat archives

I think the main point is to get the game works with modified archives :D Did anyone have success with that ? I just slightly modified a shader, repacked it with Rick's tool into a new 'shaders.dat' archive, the resulting archive is much bigger than the original... I havent tried to launch the game...

Tekken Dark Resurrection PSP compression

Hi, I've been trying to extract the opening cutscene from TDR for a long time but I don't think I have yet the hex-edit skills to understand this file format. http://i43.tinypic.com/fu0v45.jpg My guess is that the file is heavily encrypted but I have no idea what compression/encryption it uses. Coul...

Re: PS2 Valkyrie Profile 2 SLZ help

Sorry for bumping this thread but it seems no one has been able to decrypt SLZ type 3, at least here on Xentax because apparently someone managed to do it over there at romhacking. Unfortunately, all the links are dead, and no one seems to even reply to my reupload request . I really wish I had the ...

Re: PS3 .pam video files

Case solved (at least for Demon's Souls) ! I managed to convert every audio file to PCM using VGMToolbox . Open VGMToolbox, go to Misc. Tools -> Stream Tools -> Video Demultiplexer http://i51.tinypic.com/2r4k28p.jpg Select 'PAM' format in the listbox, then drag & drop your .PAM file onto the win...

Re: PS3 .pam video files

A admin can close the topic since the request was fulfilled. This is not solved at all, as they say : "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." I see you successfully converted sound from Demon's Soul intro wav, fine, good for you...
