He already said he just moved the channels around, it doesn't necessarily matter what compression preset you save it as.

Re: Deadly Premonition file archive types.
Sorry to bump this very old thread, but has anybody looked into recompressing the XPC texture packages for the PC version of DP? Chrrox made a Noesis script for importing the models + textures. I'm really interested in adding new content to Deadly Premonition. As it stands, creating new addons for t...

Max Payne 3 .DAT
I'm pretty sure these are archives, I recognize some XML files in there which I'm interested in looking at. Anybody think they can decipher it? Here's a sample (4 MB, couldn't attach it)

Re: Hitman Absolution
I'm not a big reverse-engineering type guy, but I was looking around the files in Notepad++ and can see that the pc_resourcelib file contains the model, textures and bones, while the pc_headerlib file is obviously some sort of header. The naming system is bizarre. I was able to replace one disguise ...

Re: 360 - Dead Rising 2 .BIG file
Two people have figured out how to import the models and yet they cannot, for some reason, share how they did it.

Re: 360 - Dead Rising 2 .BIG file
Thanks. Much easier to extract .big files, but it still doesn't help me with what format the model files are supposed to be in.

Re: 360 - Dead Rising 2 .BIG file
That was with Texmod, nothing of the sort. http://filesmelt.com/dl/texmod.zip Launch deadrising2.exe with logging mode, use numpad + and - to sort through textures, rip the ones you want, exit the game and edit what you want, then create a package of the .log file it creates and re-launch the game w...

Re: 360 - Dead Rising 2 .BIG file
No, just keep extracting the .big files it churns out. I did that 2 or 3 more times and got what looks like bone file names, and the combined vertices files. Don't know what format they're in, though.Ryan7259 wrote:How'd you do that anyways Dean? Did you do some bms scripting?

Re: Mafia 2 models [pc]
I'm having the same problem as the other people who aren't getting anything when they import it. Blender 2.49b, extracted the VertexBufferPool and IndexBufferPool, placed the .blend in the same folder, ran it and executed the script. Sometimes it acts like it's loading a model, but then when I check...

Re: 360 - Dead Rising 2 .BIG file
Okay, the farthest I've gotten so far is extracting "Combined Vertices 56" and "Combined Indices 2" files, but they don't have a specific file type.
